Vending

“Food Truck Permits” from Westport are required for all food trucks that operate within the Westport District as vendors during “Westport Live” on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. A finite number of Westport Food Truck Permits are issued each year and traditionally range between 2 and 4 permits per year. Applications for the upcoming year (April 1- March 31) are only available (and only accepted) from November 15 through January 31 each year. All submitted applications are reviewed by a committee of business owners and property owners during February each year. A recommendation is then made from the Review Committee to the WRBL Board of Directors regarding the appropriate number, locations, and fit of individual applicants. The WRBL Board of Directors awards Westport Food Truck Permits for operation during “Westport Live” on an annual basis from April 1 to March 31 each year.  A valid Kansas City (MO) Food Truck License is also required for food trucks operating within the Westport District at any time.

Submission of a completed application is not a guarantee of the award of a Westport Food Truck Permit.
