We’re taking full advantage of the long Memorial Day weekend in Westport and you should too! With entertainment going on all weekend and of course plenty of drinks, it’ll be a perfect time to enjoy three days of fun right here Westport, the beating heart of culture in KC.
Westport Roots Festival – Friday, May 26 – Sunday, May 28
What better way to spend your Memorial Day weekend than having a good time in Westport with three days of music from 75+ bands on six stages? This festival is Kansas City’s only music festival focusing entirely on traditional and neo-traditional American music stylings. It was also an Ameripolitan Music Official nominee!

Venues: Riot Room (indoor and outdoor stages), Firefly Lounge, Buzzard Beach, The Westport Saloon, as well as an outdoor stage in the parking lot.
In addition to the music, stop by the vendor area on Pennsylvania Avenue, completed with a buskers station and competition. Also, Los Punk Rods car club will be joining the festival exhibiting their unique rides.
Westport Block Party – Sunday, May 28
No work on Monday? Perfect! Join us on the streets of Westport the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend for the 6th annual Westport Block Party, presented by BeerKC and Kelly’s Westport Inn. Enjoy a full outdoor bar along with live music from Lost Wax on Pennsylvania Avenue, between Kelly’s and McCoy’s. With your entry, you receive one beer and an event koozie. Purchase your ticket in advance here for quick entrance into the party at McCoy’s.
Must be 21 or older with valid ID to enter the Westport Block Party. This is a rain or shine event. No pets allowed. No outside beverages allowed.
