On Thursday, March 17th, Westport will transform into a sea of emerald green as the 38th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade prepares to move throughout Midtown. This year's theme "No Small Potatoes: A Tribute to the Wee Irish" will celebrate the young and young-at-heart.
Remember to arrive in Westport early as the parade festivities begin at 11:30am and end at approximately 1:30pm. Once again, the parade route will go Broadway from 33rd Street (Linwood) to 43rd Street.
Below is a list of parade day parking facilities; some of the lots are free while others are charging a fee. For many of those charging a fee, the proceeds are going to good causes.

After the parade, continue the revelry in Westport while drinking a green beer and dancing a jig at one of the neighborhood's renowned watering holes. Irish in blood or Paddy at heart, you knew this long awaited day was coming, so plan to deck yourself out in shades of green or be wary of the pinch!

On Monday, February 7th, An Eclectic Stem located in Westport, officially kicked off Valentine’s Day. Paige O’Connor, owner of An Eclectic Stem, organized a “flash mob” and took to the neighborhood streets in celebration.
The event, promoted via Facebook and Twitter, was centered around an impromptu dance party in the middle of Westport Road. A small gathering assembled in front of the doors of the flower shop and hundreds of rose petals flew through the air as the band, The Also Rans, performed in below-freezing temps.
