Ink magazine and The Record Machine, a locally owned record label, are pleased to announce the second annual Ink’s Middle of the Map Fest. This year’s music festival will take place April 5 -7 in Westport, Kansas City’s original entertainment district, and will provide an exceptional lineup of local, national, international and emerging talent from around the globe, including Mission of Burma, Fun, Neon Indian and Fucked Up. Tickets are $20 for a one-day pass (Friday or Saturday) or $35 for a festival pass. All passes are on sale now at middleofthemapfest.com.
Building on the success of last year’s fest, this year promises to be even more ambitious with 30 more bands and four more venues. Attendees will be able to see a variety of music acts and genres from rock, pop, indie, hip hop, electronic, shoegaze, psych, punk and more. A third day has been added to accommodate the increased roster. The Thursday night kick-off will feature reunions of classic Kansas City bands including Molly McGuire, Season to Risk (Robots Win Era) and The Esoteric. The reunions will continue throughout the weekend with sets from other classic Kansas City bands Reflector and Minus Story.

Once again, on Saturday, March 17th Westport will transform into a sea of emerald green as the 40th Annual St. Paddy's Day Parade prepares to move throughout Midtown.
Before, after and during the parade you are invited to Westport Alley’s inaugural event, the St. Pat’s Pub Crawl featuring: Buzzard Beach, The Dark*Horse Tavern, Ernie Biggs and Harry’s Bar and Tables. Enjoy green beer and other libations while dancing a jig to your favorite bands and DJs.
